Recognize traffic signs automatically

Your phone’s camera recognizes speed limits and additional road signs on your device. Choose sound or spoken feedback. Supported signs depend on the country and installed model.

Read supplementary signs with OCR

YouSpeed reads text below supported speed-limit and traffic signs on your device, such as times or weekdays. The text appears with the recognized sign and can be read aloud when spoken feedback is enabled. Conditions are not evaluated automatically; recognized text can contain errors.

Live assistance and fine estimates

See your speed alongside the speed-limit reference. Speed alerts and country-specific fine estimates show what exceeding the limit could mean.

Record your drive with the dashcam

Keep videos locally and play them back when parked. Share or delete recordings and choose what to keep.

Capture street photos, review and share

Take street photos manually too, then select them in the gallery. Version 1.4 improves photo selection and Panoramax uploads. Optional uploads start only after your selection and require a connected account and internet access.

Manage map packages more easily

Search countries and regions, see package dates and download sizes, and download or delete maps independently. Supported countries include Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Travel across borders

YouSpeed supports cross-border map switching, GPS fix handling and road-matching continuity. The app is available in English, German, French and Dutch.

Look up fines and traffic signs

Behind Info, browse country-specific speeding fine tables and a traffic-sign catalogue with pictograms and spoken names. Available offline; the information is advisory.
